Who can join a Dandelion Journals trip?
Our journeys are for women — all women. We welcome travelers of every background, culture, and sexual orientation, typically ages 40–65+, though connection has no age limit.
If you’re active, curious, and open to new experiences and cultures, you’ll fit right in. Our small groups make it easy to form genuine friendships, and many solo travelers find it the perfect way to reflect, grow, and explore the world in good company.
What destinations do you offer?
We run curated journeys worldwide — recent and upcoming trips include Japan, Vietnam, Ireland, Egypt, Italy (Tuscany, Amalfi), Portugal, Greece, Thailand and more. Browse all departures: Explore All Trips Here
How do you choose the women who travel together?
Each woman joins through intention — often through our Find Your Circle quiz or a personal conversation. This helps us curate balanced, like-minded groups where every traveler adds something special to the experience.
How large are the groups?
We travel in small circles — typically 10–12 women — to keep the experience intimate and easy for everyone to connect. Some trips vary slightly by itinerary.
What’s included in a trip package?
Inclusions vary by trip but commonly include boutique accommodations, guided excursions, many meals and culinary experiences, in-country transportation listed in the itinerary, airport transfers at the destination, entrance fees for scheduled activities, expert local guides, and standard gratuities.
Each journey also includes pre-trip support — from group calls to packing lists — so you feel fully prepared before takeoff. See each trip page for full details.
Are international flights included?
No, international flights are not include. In-country transportation and transfers listed in the itinerary are typically included. Always confirm details on the trip page.
Do I need travel insurance?
We highly recommend travel insurance for every trip. For some departures, travel insurance is required — you’ll see that noted on the trip page. We list recommended providers and our affiliate insurance options on the Book Now / booking resources pages: Book Now Here
What meals are included?
Most trips include all meals listed in the itinerary — for example, daily breakfasts, chef-prepared villa lunches, curated tastings, and welcome or farewell dinners when specified.
Alcoholic drinks included at group meals or tastings are noted on the individual trip page.
Can I travel solo or share a room?
Absolutely! Many guests travel solo and stay in a single occupancy room, or request to be paired with someone. We do our best to accommodate sharing requests, but cannot guarantee availability. Most of our trips offer both single and double occupancy. Please check each itinerary for room configurations.
What are deposits, payments & payment plans?
Deposits vary by trip and typically range from $500 to $800 depending on the itinerary and vendor requirements. Final payment deadlines and payment-plan options are listed on each trip page; contact us if you’d like a custom plan.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Full Terms & Conditions are included with each Trip Plan and published on the website. Cancellation and change fees depend on timing and vendor rules; changes may result in agency fees or forfeiture of payments depending on the cancellation window. Please review the Trip Plan and Terms before booking.
What if I have food allergies or dietary needs?
Definitely let us know at booking. We do our best to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies. Early and clear communication with us about your needs is essential for a smooth and enjoyable trip.
We also recommend carrying any required medications and ensuring you’ve shared all important details in advance so our team and local hosts can plan accordingly.
Are trips physically demanding?
Activity levels vary by trip. Many itineraries include daily walking, stairs, cobblestones, or light hikes, while others may require more stamina.
If you have mobility concerns or health considerations, please share them with us early. Open and honest communication helps us ensure the trip is a good fit and allows us to recommend departures or adjustments that will make your experience comfortable and enjoyable.
Can I skip excursions?
You can usually opt out of activities to enjoy downtime. Important: some excursions cannot be skipped because they include scheduled group transportation or move the group to a new location — we ask that you let us know ahead of time. .
Are tips included?
Standard gratuities are included on most itineraries. Any optional or discretionary tips (villa staff, spa, extra guides) are noted on the trip page.
How much free time will I have?
Most days include built-in downtime for rejuvenation, shopping, or solo exploring (if the destination calls for it).
Daily itineraries show the balance of structured experiences and free time so you know what to expect.
Is journaling required on your trips?
Never required — but always encouraged. The Dandelion Journals was born from the image of a dandelion carried by the wind — traveling far, taking root in new places, and blooming again among new circles.
We believe travel does the same for us. Journaling is simply one way to gather those moments — the feelings, discoveries, and quiet awakenings that remind us how far we’ve come.
Are your trips luxury or adventure?
Both — in our own way. We blend boutique comfort and cultural immersion, so you might spend the morning exploring ancient temples and the evening dining under the stars. It’s refined, but never rigid.
How do I reserve or book a spot?
You can book or reserve online at Book Now Here. You can also schedule a call at Schedule a Call Here or email letsgo@thedandelionjournals.com and call +1 (678) 692-6584.
