ARRIVAL IN HEIDELBERG

Days 1 - 2

Our journey begins with a warm welcome in the festive streets of Heidelberg. After arriving in Frankfurt and transferring to our boutique hotel, we explore this beloved city by foot and funicular, soaking up its seasonal spirit and romantic charm.

  • Enjoy a cozy group dinner at a local restaurant as we settle into the German rhythm of holiday cheer.

  • Discover Heidelberg’s historic Old Town and ride the funicular up to the castle ruins for panoramic views over the Neckar Valley.

ROTHENBURG & NUREMBERG

Days 3-4

We travel along the Romantic Road to the enchanting village of Rothenburg ob der Tauber before continuing to Nuremberg—home of the world’s oldest and most famous Christmas market.

Excursions & Experiences Included:

  • Step into a snow globe as we stroll Rothenburg’s cobbled streets, listen to carolers, and browse traditional market stalls. Don't miss a walk along the ancient city walls!

  • Enjoy hearty German fare in this medieval gem before continuing to Nuremberg.

NUREMBERG & REGENSBURG

Days 5-6

Today is all about exploring Nuremberg’s Christmas magic. From international stalls to nostalgic ornaments and delicious bites, it’s a true highlight. On the way to Munich, we stop in Regensburg to discover its UNESCO-listed Old Town, dazzling cathedral, and the magical Thurn and Taxis market.

  • Get to know Nuremberg’s rich history and architecture with a local guide before hitting the markets.

  • Wander one of Europe’s largest and oldest Christmas markets. Try lebkuchen, admire the famous prune people, and enjoy a multicultural market with gifts from around the world.

  • A festive evening meal caps off our Nuremberg experience.

  • Explore the best-preserved medieval city in Germany, with winding alleys and architectural wonders.

  • Held in the courtyard of an actual palace, this candlelit market features artisan crafts, torches, and even royal sightings. A true holiday fantasy.

MUNICH & SNOWY CASTLES

Days 7 - 8

We end our trip in the Bavarian capital of Munich, with festive fun in the Marienplatz markets and a fairytale castle day trip through snowy alpine landscapes.

  • Visit the famous Marienplatz market and Germany’s largest Nativity scene market. Climb Alter Peter for panoramic views and shop for final holiday treasures.

  • Take a scenic journey to two of King Ludwig II’s most beloved castles, set in a snow-dusted alpine wonderland. A carriage ride and hearty alpine lunch make the day even more magical.

  • Reflect and toast with your travel sisters one last time over a festive final meal in Munich.

  • After breakfast, we provide transportation to Munich Airport for your flight home.

  • This trip takes place during winter, so cold temperatures and snowy conditions are expected. Warm layers and waterproof shoes are essential. (Think like: hats, scarfs, gloves/mittens, hand warmers, and definitely a good jacket)

  • Many of the towns we visit have cobblestone streets and hills, so a moderate level of mobility is required.

  • You should be comfortable walking 2–3 miles per day and standing for guided tours.

  • We recommend bringing a collapsible shopping bag, a travel mug for warm drinks, and hand warmers for added comfort.

  • Fly into Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) and out of Munich International Airport (MUC).

  • Not at all! While we highly recommend joining to make the most of the experience, you're free to opt out of any activity to enjoy some downtime.

  • Think cozy layers: a warm coat, thermal base layers, gloves, scarf, hat, waterproof boots, and an umbrella. We’ll send a full packing list before the trip.

  •  This itinerary includes moderate walking (2–3 miles per day), some uneven surfaces, and winter conditions. Please be comfortable navigating cobblestones and standing during tours.

  • U.S. citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date.
