Luxury travel for women, designed for connection

You won't just see Tuscany.
You'll live it — slowly.

Settle into a private countryside villa near Lucca for a whole week — olive groves out the window, chef-prepared dinners, morning yoga before espresso. From there: Chianti tastings, a truffle hunt with dogs, the olive harvest, marble Pisa, artisan Pietrasanta. Then three golden nights in Florence to end it. This is slow, intentional travel — the Dandelion way.

Questions

Wondering if this is for you?

Is Tuscany safe for women traveling together?
Yes. Tuscany is one of the safest regions in Italy, and you never navigate it alone. This is a women-only group of no more than 18, with our team handling every transfer, driver, and reservation. You are based in a private countryside villa surrounded by women on the same journey, not a strange hotel in a strange city.
I'd be coming alone. Is that okay?
More than okay, most of our travelers come solo. By the second dinner in the villa, going solo stops being the word for it. There is no single-supplement pressure and no awkward pairing; you will have your own space and a table full of new friends.
What's the villa like, and will I have my own room?
We stay seven nights in a private Tuscan villa reserved just for our group, with stone floors, a pool, olive groves, and long dinners on the terrace. You will have your own room. It is the anchor of the trip: a home base you return to, not a suitcase you live out of.
Is this a guided tour or more of a retreat?
Both, in the best way. There is real structure, a chef, hosted dinners, and curated days out, but it is paced like a retreat, not a bus tour. You will never be rushed through a checklist. The point is to feel Tuscany, not just photograph it.
Are meals and wine included?
Most are. Several dinners are prepared for us at the villa, and the trip is built around long Tuscan meals and local wine, with Chianti country right there. A few meals are left open so you can wander and choose your own. Exact inclusions are listed in the brochure.
Do we really spend time in Florence?
Yes, three of your nights are in Florence, so it is a genuine stay, not a day trip. You will have time for the art, the leather markets, an evening walk along the Arno, and a proper Florentine dinner, at a human pace.
How much walking is involved, and how active is this trip?
Comfortable, not strenuous. Expect cobblestones, some hills, and walking on sightseeing days, balanced with plenty of slow villa time. Bring good walking shoes and you will be fine. If you have mobility concerns, tell us and we will help you plan.
What's the weather like in Tuscany in November?
Crisp and quiet. This is off-season Tuscany, roughly 45 to 60F, the light gorgeous and the crowds gone. Pack layers, a warm jacket, and something for the occasional rain. It is harvest-season calm, one of the loveliest times to be there.
Which airport should I fly into?
Florence (FLR) is closest and easiest. Pisa (PSA) is a short drive and often cheaper, and Rome (FCO) works if you are extending your trip. We will send arrival guidance once you book so your transfer lines up with the group.
How do the deposit and payment plans work?
An $800 deposit holds your room, and the balance can be spread over flexible monthly payments up to departure. Checkout is handled securely through WeTravel. No lump sum required, plans are set up right at checkout.
Do I need travel insurance?
We strongly recommend it, and ask every traveler to carry a policy that covers trip cancellation, medical care, and emergency evacuation. It is inexpensive peace of mind, and we are happy to point you to providers other travelers have used.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Absolutely. Vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, just tell us when you book and we will brief the chef and our restaurants ahead of time. No one at this table goes hungry.
