Six days based at one all-inclusive resort on the Cabo San Lucas marina. A private boat out to El Arco, a hike through desert canyons to natural hot springs, a day in the arts district of San José del Cabo, another in Todos Santos — and, in the middle of it, Día de los Muertos.
You don’t change hotels. Breathless Cabo San Lucas is home for all five nights — infinity pools, a spa, meals and drinks included, and the marina at the bottom of the steps. Everything else is a day trip out and back.

Día de los Muertos.
Why the last week of October?
Because Baja does two things at once that week. Cabo San Lucas throws itself into Halloween — the marina, the music, the costumes, all of it. Then the country goes quiet and bright: altars, marigolds, candles, pan de muerto, and families sitting with the people they have lost. Most trips give you one or the other. This one is built to sit in the middle of both, with local guides who can tell you what you are looking at and how to be part of it respectfully.
- El Arco and the Sea of Cortez. A private boat past the arch and Lover’s Beach, with time to swim and snorkel over the reef.
- San José del Cabo. Colonial streets, the arts district, a historic mission, and a farm-to-table lunch outside town.
- The sierra. A guided hike through desert canyons to hidden river pools and Baja’s natural hot springs.
- Todos Santos. A pueblo mágico of galleries, boutiques and surf beaches, with an artisanal mezcal tasting.
- Día de los Muertos. Altars, marigolds and candlelight, with the local community rather than from behind a camera.
Halloween at one end, Día de los Muertos at the other, and five all-inclusive nights in between.
One thing worth knowing
There are two room options.
The $3,900 price is for a shared room — they are large and comfortable. Tell us your roommate when you register, or let us match you with another traveler. We will do our best, and most of the time it works.
If we cannot match you, a single supplement of $2,000 applies. If you would rather not leave that to chance, the Solo Room at $5,900 is a king bed to yourself for all five nights — and there are only two of those left.

Day 1Arrive Los Cabos, poolside welcome
We meet you at Los Cabos International (SJD) and transfer to Breathless Cabo San Lucas, your home for the next five nights. Check in, unpack once, and take the afternoon at your own pace — the pools, the spa, or the balcony.
As the sun goes down, a poolside welcome reception: margaritas, light bites, and the first proper introductions. Dinner together, then an easy stroll through the marina.

Day 2El Arco, snorkelling and the Sea of Cortez
A private boat along Cabo’s coastline to El Arco and Lover’s Beach — the rock formation everyone comes to photograph, seen from the water rather than a crowd. Time to swim and snorkel over the reef.
Back to the resort in the afternoon for a quiet evening: dinner, the pool, or a wander through the artisan markets along the marina.

Day 3San José del Cabo, a farm table, and Halloween
A guided morning in San José del Cabo — colonial streets, the arts district, galleries and murals, and the old mission on the plaza, with a guide who knows the people behind the work.
Lunch at a local farm, then back to Cabo for the evening. October 31 in a marina town is loud, colourful and thoroughly good fun. Dress up or don’t; either works.

Day 4Canyon hike, hot springs and Día de los Muertos
Into the Sierra de la Laguna with a guide: desert canyons, river pools, and the natural hot springs at the end of the trail. A Baja-style meal out there before we head back.
In the evening, Día de los Muertos — altars, marigolds, candles and pan de muerto, experienced alongside the local community and explained properly.

Day 5Todos Santos, mezcal and the farewell dinner
An hour north to Todos Santos, a designated pueblo mágico — galleries, boutiques, historic streets, and a Pacific coastline that surfers have known about for decades. A tasting of artisanal mezcal with people who make it.
Free time on the beach in the afternoon, then the farewell dinner back in Cabo.

Day 6Breakfast by the marina, then home
A last unhurried breakfast overlooking the water, and time to swap numbers before group transfers to the airport.

How hot is it in late October?
Warm and dry — daytime highs in the mid-to-high 80s°F with pleasant evenings. Pack lightweight clothes, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat and comfortable shoes for cobblestones. Bring something fun for the Halloween evening.
How active is this trip?
Moderate. One guided canyon hike, a boat day with optional snorkelling, and walking tours on cobbled streets. You can sit any of it out.
Do I have to share a room?
No. There are two packages: a shared room at $3,900 and a solo king room at $5,900. If you book shared and we cannot match you with a roommate, a $2,000 single supplement applies.
How does paying work?
$500 holds your spot. The balance is due before departure, and WeTravel offers payment plan options at checkout. Booking closes October 1, 2026.
Do I need travel insurance?
It is strongly recommended. We and many past travelers have used Travel Insured International, but you are welcome to shop for whatever suits you.
Which airport should I book?
Los Cabos International (SJD), in and out. Group airport transfers are included.
Do I need a visa?
US citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 180 days, but you will need a Mexico Tourist Card (FMM). It is a simple document and easy to obtain.
Is the resort really all-inclusive?
Yes. Meals, drinks and the in-room mini bar at Breathless Cabo San Lucas are included. Alcohol outside the resort and the listed meals is not.
What is the food like?
Baja-fresh — fish tacos, seafood tostadas, ceviche and traditional Mexican cooking alongside the resort restaurants. Tell us about dietary needs when you book and we will accommodate them.
Is it appropriate for visitors to join Día de los Muertos?
Yes, when it is done respectfully — which is why we do it with local guides, alongside the community, and with the context explained rather than as a spectacle.
Do I have to join every excursion?
No. We would encourage it, but the resort is a very good place to sit one out.
